Meeting on 19 May 2026, the Airport Vehicle Operator Safety Competency Certification Committee (CSCE) confirmed the continued momentum of the certification scheme: new companies are joining the initiative, and the network of auditors continues to grow.
The meeting, held at at GEH (Group Europe Handling), began with the approval of several audit results, including the certification of member companies SAMSIC APMR and Alyzia.
Validated audits and upcoming assessments already scheduled
Several new audits have already been scheduled:
- Tarbes Airport
- Caen Airport
- TCR
Members also discussed the rollout of the certification across the subsidiaries of audited companies, with the aim of ensuring consistent application of the requirements and broader adoption of safety standards.
A rapidly expanding auditor network
Driven by the increasing number of certified companies, the CSCE welcomed the significant growth in the number of auditors involved in the scheme, with auditor numbers having doubled compared with the previous period.
This growth increases auditing capacity, enhances the credibility of the assessment process, and facilitates the dissemination of best practices relating to airside vehicle safety.
Continuing the pursuit of the highest safety standards
Finally, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss several current issues affecting the sector.
Members also reviewed progress on the ARPEX project, being carried out in partnership with students from the French Civil Aviation University (FCAU – ENAC). The project aims to explore new initiatives to further enhance the safety of airside operations.
