The year 2025 has been an exceptional one for the Safety Competence Certification for Airport Vehicle Drivers and Operators (CSCE): no fewer than seven companies have been awarded the certification, setting a new record.
The Europe Handling Group (GEH), Aviapartner, Air France Ground Operations, Ladybird, CPC Aéronautique, Camas Formation (Apave Group) and Servair have joined or confirmed their membership of the group of organisations committed to ground operations safety.
The certificates were officially presented on 26 March 2026 following the CSAE’s general meeting by Pascal de Izaguirre, President of the National Federation of Aviation and Related Professions (FNAM), Didier Montégut, President of the CSAE, and Claude Deorestis, President of the CSCE Committee, to each representative of the recognised companies.
Established under the auspices of the FNAM and managed by the CSAE, the CSCE certification guarantees teams a robust and recognised skills development programme, enabling them to meet the sector’s regulatory and technical requirements for all vehicles operating on the apron: aircraft support vehicles, aerial work platforms, pushback vehicles and rapid transport vehicles.
A common standard that standardises operations and enhances safety in the field.
In an airport environment where even the slightest failure can have critical consequences, ground safety is not an option; it is an absolute necessity.
By reaching this record figure, the ground handling sector is sending a strong message: the safety culture is growing stronger, and it is growing stronger collectively.
