The project has been launched and momentum is building. On 12 February, the second working meeting took place between students from the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) and the CSAE, marking a new stage in the work aimed at improving accident prevention in restricted areas.
Collective action in the service of prevention
Objective: to identify practical ways of improving safety on the runway.
To this end, the students began with the basics: analysing available accident data, studying traffic plans and zoning, and identifying operational bottlenecks.
A rigorous methodology, grounded in practical experience, which enables findings to be assessed objectively before recommendations are made.
A structured approach and a fresh perspective
As the discussions progressed, key areas for improvement began to emerge: more detailed analysis of data, improved mapping of high-risk areas, and consideration of behaviour and prevention tools.
This structured approach, informed by a fresh, external perspective, is one of the innovative strategies essential to any profession committed to a process of continuous improvement.
Let’s move on to the presentation of the recommendations
Next step: consolidating the analyses and finalising the proposals. The final report and operational recommendations are expected by the end of May.
