Faced with the increase in airside traffic incidents linked to the massive turnover of staff at Paris airports, CSAE (Chambre Syndicale de l’Assistance en Escale) is fully committed to the initiative of the Collectif Sécurité Circulation Aéroportuaire (CSCA).
This joint initiative marks an important stage in our shared determination to improve road safety in the airside zone (ZCP) over the long term at all French airports – Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and the provinces – by uniting all the players concerned around a clear objective: “zero accidents”.
A collective to take concrete action
The Collectif Sécurité Circulation Aéroportuaire (CSCA) aims to :
- Create a shared prevention dynamic between ground handlers, airport operators, airlines, the police and institutions.
- Complement existing systems (such as the SMS (Safety Management System)) with an approach focused on individual behaviour and safety culture.
- Encourage transparency, the sharing of experience and the joint development of prevention initiatives.
A joint commitment charter has been signed, defining priority actions ranging from positioning safety as a performance driver to active participation in awareness campaigns and management of co-activity situations.
CSAE, a committed player
As the representative of ground handling companies, CSAE would like to point out that the safety of airport operations is an absolute priority for all its members.
Through our participation in the CSCA, we are affirming our commitment to :
- Mobilising our companies and teams in the field to prevent traffic risks.
- Sharing feedback to drive collective progress in practices.
- To help establish a genuine safety culture at airports, for the benefit of all.
CSAE will continue to relay prevention messages, support initiatives in the field and represent the interests of the industry in this strategic initiative.
